Who we are

Vidnara ("we") turns screen-recording videos into AI-narrated videos. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@vidnara.com. See also our GDPR notice.

What data we collect

• Account data: your email address and authentication identifiers, managed via Amazon Cognito.
• Your video content: the screen recordings you upload, and the narrated video, voice-over audio, and title generated from them.
• Frames extracted from your video: short before/after image pairs at each detected action, sent to our AI provider to generate narration text and, for a Platform Admin account only, kept for troubleshooting a specific generation run.
• Newsletter: if you subscribe via the site footer, we store the email address you provide.
• Usage/analytics: Google Analytics, currently loaded automatically when you visit the site — see Cookies below.

Why we use it and the legal basis

• To provide the service and your account — performance of a contract.
• To generate narration (AI scene detection, vision-based descriptions, text-to-speech) from a video you upload — performance of a contract.
• To send product updates if you subscribe to the newsletter — consent.
• To improve the product via analytics — legitimate interests / consent, depending on your jurisdiction.
• To respond to support requests — legitimate interests.

Who we share data with (processors)

• Amazon Web Services — hosting, database, authentication, and file storage for your videos and generated narration.
• OpenAI — generates the narration text from your video's frames (vision model) and synthesizes the voice-over audio (text-to-speech). Frame images and generated text are sent to OpenAI to produce these.
• Google Analytics — usage analytics.

Some of these providers are located outside the EEA (e.g. the United States). Such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, uploaded videos, and generated narration for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account or any data described above, contact info@vidnara.com.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request a copy of your data. To exercise these rights, contact info@vidnara.com. See the GDPR notice for details.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and run the app. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used; these analytics cookies currently load automatically when you visit the site — there is no cookie-consent banner yet distinguishing essential from analytics cookies.

Newsletter

If you subscribe via the site footer, we store the email address you provide so we can send you product updates. To unsubscribe, contact info@vidnara.com and we will remove it.
