What we process and the legal basis

• Account & authentication (email, Cognito identifiers) — Art. 6(1)(b) performance of a contract.
• Your uploaded videos and generated narration (video, extracted frames, narration text, voice-over audio) — Art. 6(1)(b) performance of a contract.
• Newsletter subscription (email address, only if you sign up) — Art. 6(1)(a) consent.
• Analytics (Google Analytics) — Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interests, or Art. 6(1)(a) consent depending on your jurisdiction; currently loaded on every visit, see the Cookies section of our Privacy Policy.

Recipients (processors)

Amazon Web Services (hosting, authentication, database, file storage), OpenAI (generates narration text and voice-over audio from your video's frames), and Google Analytics (usage analytics).

International transfers

Some processors are outside the EEA (e.g. the United States). Transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep your account, videos, and generated narration while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting info@vidnara.com.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access your data and obtain a copy (portability);
• rectify inaccurate data;
• erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
• restrict or object to processing;
• withdraw consent (e.g. the newsletter) at any time;
• lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
